It's easy to qualify for a thinkbanking account - and because we don't need to perform any credit checks, we can usually complete an account application within minutes!
Providing you're a UK resident aged 18 or over, the thinkbanking account could be open to you. In fact, we can approve your application as soon as you've proved your identity and address.
Proving your identity
Your security is extremely important to us, and before we can open an account in your name, we'll need to verify your identity and address.
We can normally verify your details on the phone, but may need to see some actual documents. Further details will be explained by us when you apply.
Acceptable forms of identification
Before you apply to open a thinkbanking account, we will need to ask you for documents proving your identity and your address. This is a legal requirement. In most cases we'll be able to verify your identity over the phone - but if we can't, your Banking Adviser will tell you what kind of documents we need.
